Take Back (Undo)
Here's how to take back a move
You played a move you didn't like? With ChessUp 2 you and take that move back a play a different move. Follow the below instructions to learn how.
Supported Game Types:
- AI Bots
- Two Player
- Board Editor
Note: Only one move deep can be undone. The take back is only for the play who just made a move.
After you make a move, but before your opponents make a move, you can simply place the piece back to trigger to undo. If you made a castling move, capture, or a promotion, make sure to replace all the pieces back in their correct places. Once all the pieces are put back the LEDs under the pieces will blink to confirm the undo. The turn indicator will also flip back to your turn.
While playing the AI, the board will light up what move the AI is going to play. As long as you do your take back before moving the AI's piece, the take back will be accepted. Once you make the AI's move you can no longer take your move back.
You can also undo an AI's move to see if the AI plays a different move. This is very typical that the AI will make the same move, especially if it's an obvious capture.
The take back can be especially fun with the Best Move and Move Feedback feature. These features provide feedback after a move. With take backs, you can take that feedback into account and try a different move.
