ChessUp App Not Connecting to the ChessUp 2

What to do if your ChessUp app is not connecting to your ChessUp 2 board

This situation can sometimes happen during app installation if you do not accept all of the pop-ups. These pop-ups need to be accepted to provide the app access and permissions to the BLE (Bluetooth).

You can delete the app and reinstall it following the video below, making sure to accept all of the pop-ups.

Accepting app permissions is covered in this tutorial video

Note: Trying to connect to the board through the system settings and pairing the phone to the board does not work. If all of the pop-ups are accepted, the app starts automatically scanning for ChessUp boards. When it finds one, it will automatically connect. There is no need to go into system settings.

Note: some Android users have claimed that they needed to turn on GPS to make it work. All that is needed is to go to your location services in the system settings and give permissions to the ChessUp.
